From the start of the pandemic, CSC has been here and ready to help our neighbors. We closed our offices for our staff's and the community's health, and were back up and operating nearly all of our services remotely within 1 day.
We have continued to work remotely, supporting over 140 staff members working from home. We have also continued to serve tens of thousands of community members remotely during this time.
Our emergency services, Housing, Utility Assistance
and Linn Benton Food Share, have been working tirelessly to get our help into the community where it's needed. With COVID rental assistance funding only, we have served over 650 individuals facing financial loss from the pandemic, totaling over $1,057,000 in assistance.
Utility Assistance has provided over 600 individuals with more than $118,000 in financial support for their bills.
Our Linn Benton Food Share has been providing over 100,000 lbs of food into our community every week during the pandemic, equating to over 32,500 meals and
3,400 food boxes.
Our employment and education programs continue to work closely with their adult and youth clients for a variety of needs
including job preparedness during the pandemic, accessing and applying for needed public services, navigating daily life, and more.
These programs have also been awarded a contract with the Oregon Health Authority as a community-based organization to help
educate, engage and provide needed services regarding COVID-19.
In September, CSC Head Start of Lincoln County will be following state and county guidance to begin the school year virtually. We have provided many helpful at-home resources and our curricula on our website to help families with this transition. Our Head Start staff remain dedicated to providing holistic education and care for all of students, at home or in the classroom. Applications are still open!
